IBPS Clerk Prelims 2016 Exam will consist of 100 questions and each question carries 1 mark each and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

English Language Preparation Plan

Candidates who are appearing the examination are advised to attempt passages as it can get you easy marks if done with higher accuracy in the examination. To start with Passages, always read the questions of the Passage and then look out for their answers because if you read the whole passage first, then it can exhaust your lot of time.

There would be 30 questions asked from the English Language in the question paper so, it's quite important to brush up the skills of English as it can get you some easy marks. As this is the most understandable topic, hence it should be attempted first.

So, these are the important topics, out of which 10 questions comes from Reading Comprehension and rest of the questions come from remaining topics. 

Reasoning Preparation Plan

Reasoning is one of the most important yet moderate section in the IBPS clerk Examination. Hence, it is seen as the most scoring section. The section contains 35 questions which are of 35 marks. (1 mark for each question). As the questions are bit tricky so, it is important to attempt the questions as fast as possible. This section should be attempted second after English language.

In the last year examination of Clerk Pre there were 10 questions from seating arrangement,5 from inequality,  5 from coding-decoding, 5 from series and the rest of the questions were miscellaneous.

Numerical Ability Preparation Plan

Candidates appearing in the exam should solve the Numerical Ability section at the end as it is the toughest and time-consuming section. So, in order to complete the question paper attempt this section in last and spare atleast 25 minutes to do this section.

  • Simplification/ Approximation
  • Data Interpretation
  • Misc. Questions from topics such as Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Problem on Ages, Partnerships, Time, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Work & Wages, Speed & Distance etc.
  • Quadratic Equations

Since the section is of 35 marks questions can be expected from any topic but the most important one are number Series, age, data interpretation, and simplification.
