### Important formulas for Area

1.  Area of a rectangle = (Length x Breadth).
2. Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth).
3.  Area of a square = (side)2 =$\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$ (diagonal)2.
4.  Area of 4 walls of a room = 2 (Length + Breadth) x Height.
5.  Area of a triangle = $\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$ x Base x Height.
6. Area of a triangle = $\sqrt { s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) }$where a, b, c are the sides of the triangle and s = $\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$(a + b + c).
7.   Area of an equilateral triangle = $\cfrac {\sqrt { 3 } }{ 4 }$ x(side)²
8.  Radius of incircle of an equilateral triangle of side a =$\frac { a }{ 2\sqrt { 3 }}$
9. Radius of circumference of an equilateral triangle of side a=$\frac { a }{ \sqrt { 3 }}$
10. Area of a parallelogram=Base x height
11. Area of a rhombus=$\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$ x product of diagonals.
12. Area of trapezium  =$\frac { 1 }{ 2 }$ x (sum of parallel sides) x distance between them.
13. Area of a circle= Π${ R }^{ 2 }$
14. Circumference of a circle=2ΠR
